Rating criteria

| 10% | Recurrent tinnitus, either or both ears — a single 10% rating regardless of whether it affects one ear or both. |

- Hearing loss
- Migraines
- Insomnia
- Anxiety or depression secondary to chronic tinnitus
A secondary condition is service-connected because a condition VA already rates caused or worsened it — it can be claimed and rated on its own.
